Dr. Julie Festa de Lagarde, DACM, L.Ac, Dipl.O.M. (AC10560) Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
Dr. Julie Festa de Lagarde is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as well as a Licensed Acupuncturist who has over 17 years of experience as both an acupuncturist and Chinese medical practitioner. She is also a certified yoga instructor and holds a black belt in Classical Yang Family Style Tai Qi, Chinese martial arts weaponry, and medicinal qi gong. Julie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and Dance at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts for a Master of Fine Arts study before she began the study of Eastern medicine. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a doctorate from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, with emphases in both Chinese Classical Herbal Medicine and Chinese Classical Acupuncture.
Julie provides a holistic integrative approach to mental health wherein she combines acupuncture, Chinese medicine, nutrition, meditation, breathwork, yoga, tai chi, nutrition, coaching, mentorship, and health consulting with a client-centered and highly personalized method. Her practice is focused on and specializes in the treatment of mental, social, and emotional health that blends assessment and direct care to address each client's unique needs. Julie serves as the Alumni Liaison to the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee at her doctoral alma mater.
She is the creator of an online resource designed to bring healthy living and fitness to women and new mothers as well as being the author of Real Fit at Every Age. She spends her free time with her daughter exploring, surfing, and in pursuit of adventure and wonderment.
