Where You’ll Work: A Spotlight on Wildlife House
In a previous post, we discussed how the quality of your environment can significantly impact mental health. This is especially true during the transformative process of residential mental health treatment.
A core principle of residential mental health care is that a thoughtfully designed space—one that prioritizes peace, comfort, and personalized support—creates the best conditions for healing and growth.
The Wildlife House at Amend Treatment, one of our two residential homes, exemplifies this philosophy. Just a short walk from the Pacific Ocean, Wildlife House offers a serene yet supportive setting that fosters recovery. With spacious indoor and outdoor areas, clients can find peaceful spaces for reflection, as well as designated areas for movement, stretching, and recreational therapies. On-site coordinators are available 24/7 to provide individualized support, ensuring that each client receives the care they need. With only six residents per house, clients enjoy private, well-appointed accommodations designed to support their mental and emotional well-being.
Every room in this three-story home is designed with safety and comfort in mind, featuring modern, thoughtfully curated decor. Spacious private and semi-private rooms offer private baths and direct access to a patio or deck, creating a tranquil retreat for each resident. For those who enjoy physical activity, Wildlife House features a full-sized tennis court with a basketball hoop—ideal for friendly games and practice sessions.
At Amend Treatment, we believe that healing happens in the right environment. Wildlife House is just one example of how we create a unique, home-like experience to support clients in overcoming a range of mental and emotional challenges.
