Dr. William Huang

Dr. William Huang is board-certified in general psychiatry with a deep commitment to advancing mental health care. He graduated from UCLA undergraduate and completed medical school at St. George's University. He completed his adult psychiatry residency and served as Chief Resident of Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He stayed on and completed advanced fellowship training, further honing his expertise in the comprehensive treatment of mental health conditions.

During his residency, Dr. Huang became deeply engaged in mental health care, including the management of complex psychiatric cases in medical center and ICU settings. He spearheaded educational programs on mental health awareness and best practices for medical students, interns, residents, and nursing staff, aiming to enhance the standard of psychiatric care hospital-wide. As a fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he contributed to the development of outpatient mental health clinics and provided comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for diverse patient populations. He also worked with Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Centers and Hollywood Mental Health County Clinic, delivering evidence-based mental health care for minority and underserved groups.

Dr. Huang was awarded the American Psychiatric Association/SAMHSA Minority Fellowship for his dedication to improving mental health services for minority groups with co-occurring disorders. He has also received scholarships from the American Psychiatric Association/Lily Chief Resident Executive Leadership Program. Dr. Huang actively participates in legislative advocacy to promote mental health care parity. He is a frequent speaker at workshops, continuing medical education programs, and international conferences, addressing topics such as innovative approaches to psychiatric care, suicide prevention, digital mental health interventions, and improving mental health services in correctional settings.
