Lead Clinical Assistant
Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at USC, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She serves as a Lead Clinical Assistant at Amend Treatment, where her personal experiences along with those of close friends and family, inspire her commitment to helping others through a tough time.
Megan’s professional background includes over six years of teaching dance to both children and adults, where she honed her skills in clear communication and fostering creative expression. She has also volunteered in San Telmo, Mexico, multiple times, working with underserved communities, further deepening her understanding of the importance of advocacy and support. Driven by her belief in the potential of every individual, Megan emphasizes the utilization of available treatment resources through empathy and encouragement. She is dedicated to guiding clients toward the life and self they aspire to achieve.
Some of her favorite aspects of her job include leading a movement group every week, getting to know clients personally throughout their time with Amend, and supporting them during intake as they navigate the start of their journey. In her free time, Megan continues to teach dance a few times a week and enjoys a variety of activities, including art, swimming, running, playing with her dogs, thrifting, and painting her nails.
