Nicole Rivas

Nicole Rivas is a Lead Clinical Assistant at Amend Treatment, where she combines her empathy, professionalism, and dedication to provide high-quality care to individuals facing the challenges of co-occurring mental health conditions. With a passion for supporting individuals through depression, anxiety, and trauma, Nicole strives to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters trust, allowing each client to engage openly and fully in their therapeutic journey.

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science from UCLA and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Her goal is to become a bilingual Clinical Psychologist, working to make mental health care accessible and reduce stigma, particularly within the Latinx community. Nicole's commitment to cultural humility, language inclusivity, and holistic health care underscores her work as she seeks to dismantle barriers and meet the unique needs of her clients.

Nicole’s previous experience includes working with adolescents navigating mental health and substance abuse challenges. She has also served as a Department Coordinator Assistant in the Care Extenders program at UCLA Health, where she assisted across multiple departments, gaining invaluable hands-on clinical experience. Her work with the Global Medical Missions Alliance in Los Angeles also expanded her dedication to community support by providing free medical assistance and education to underserved populations. Known for her humor, warmth, and genuine passion, Nicole brings a sense of creativity, light-heartedness, and fun to her work. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, rugby, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
