Megan Wu

Lead Clinical Assistant

Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. She aspires to pursue her PsyD and become a licensed clinical psychologist. As Program Director at Amend Treatment, she brings both personal and professional depth to her work. Her own life experiences and those of people close to her, fuel her commitment to walking alongside others through difficult times.

Megan’s background spans over seven years of teaching dance to children and adults, where she developed strong communication skills and a talent for nurturing creative expression. She has also volunteered multiple times in San Telmo, Mexico, working with underserved communities and deepening her commitment to advocacy and support. Her time as a clinical assistant at residential treatment was especially formative, shaping her approach to crisis management, empathy, boundaries, and igniting her passion for mental health work. Driven by a belief in every individual’s potential, Megan meets clients with empathy and encouragement, guiding them toward the life and version of themselves they’re working to build.

Among her favorite parts of the job is getting to know clients personally throughout their time at Amend: from intake onward. Whether a client is just beginning their journey or needs encouragement during moments of self-doubt, she helps ease them into the process and reconnect with the reasons they first sought care. Outside of work, she continues to teach dance and enjoys art, running, and spending time with her dog.
