Shira Rebibo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a profound dedication to facilitating healing and recovery in individuals and families grappling with mental health challenges. With 10 years of experience in the field and in residential treatment settings, Shira brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her role as Clinical Director at Amend Treatment.
Shira earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Depth Psychology and Evidence based practices from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Shira has since pursued specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and trauma-informed care. Throughout her career, Shira has honed expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. Shira has dedicated the majority of her career to fostering the growth of residential treatment teams, empowering them to enhance their effectiveness in addressing life-threatening behaviors and maladaptive coping strategies among clients.
As the Clinical Director, Shira oversees the clinical operations of Amend Treatment ensuring that each individual receives personalized, holistic care tailored to their unique needs. She works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address not only the symptoms of mental struggles but also the underlying emotional, relational, cultural, and spiritual factors contributing to each person’s challenges.
