Weekend Director
Whitney Powell serves as the Program Coordinator at AMEND Treatment, where she oversees the daily planning of a therapeutic and nurturing program designed to restore stability and support for our clients. With a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College Chicago and an ongoing pursuit of a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Whitney is deeply dedicated to guiding individuals through their most challenging moments and empowering them on their paths to healing.
In her role, Whitney excels at coordinating activities and support groups, ensuring that every client receives the compassionate care they deserve. She believes that a nurturing community is essential for emotional growth and works diligently to cultivate an environment that fosters safety, trust, and connection. Whitney’s approach is deeply rooted in her core values of openness and empathy, allowing her to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues. Her unique ability to infuse humor and a sense of playfulness into therapeutic settings encourages individuals to embrace their journeys with resilience and optimism.
Outside of her professional life, Whitney is committed to her volunteer work at dog rescues and enjoys hiking around Los Angeles, pursuits that underscore her energetic and compassionate spirit. These personal endeavors not only reflect her dedication to helping others but also enrich her capacity to connect with and understand the diverse experiences of those around her.
