Alexander Suarez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Med coursework. I completed my degree in Norfolk, Virginia in 2017, which is also when I decided to sell almost everything I had, rent a car, and drive from Virginia to California. I also received my EMT certificate whilst studying in order to gain patient contact experience. My experience in the mental health field is limited, but I have worked almost 6 years mainly as an EMT. I have worked primarily on an ambulance, but I also worked in the Emergency Room. In my line of work, I have always treated all types of patients and all types of emergencies. I really enjoy working with people and love being able to offer help when needed. Being able to be part of the Amend team is a great opportunity for me to help in a complete different setting, not as much as life and death, but in a calmer and safer environment, which Amend clearly is able to offer to everyone.

As for my hobbies, I have done many different things. I currently train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which is by far one of the hardest martial arts I have done. I also enjoy riding motorcycles, which -when weather permits- is a plus while working at Amend since I always have to take the. PCH. There is nothing more refreshing than getting ocean breeze while riding on the open road. With all this said, I really consider myself an open person, approachable, and always willing to help in anything I can. I really like to get to know new people and socialize, so I am grateful that I work in a place I can be me.
